Head Coach
TOM HOWELL

Tom currently holds his USSF National D coaching license and is a participant in the NSCAA Coaching Development Program. Tom spent 10 seasons with the Coastal Soccer Club coaching various age groups and serving as a Academy coach. He has also worked with the Merrymeeting Soccer Club  and has done team training, camps and clinics for them. At the high school level Tom has worked with both the MTA girls and boys programs and was the women’s varsity coach at Freeport High School. While at Freeport he worked with the Freeport United teams and still serves as the Director of Freeport's Little Falcons Soccer Program.

VANESSA STACEY

Vanessa is the assistant coach for the U14 girls. She holds a USSF class "E" coaching license. Vanessa was been a member of Velocity U15 -U18 girls team (2003-2007) As a senior she was selected as captain of the Sacopee Valley High School team. In 2006 she was selected to the Maine Soccer Coaches Class D all conference team.  Vanessa is currently a senior at Saint Joseph's College of Maine and will be graduating in May with a degree in Physical Education, Teacher Certification.

NEIL McCLENNAN

Neil has played soccer since he was 6 years old all over the United States and parts of Europe. From U11 through High School he played on select teams and was also able to play in Italy and Costa Rica when he graduated High School. Neil began coaching soccer when he was still in High School. He has been a Head Coach, Assistant Coach, strategy consultant, and Goal Keeper Consultant at many different levels. He also worked at Tony DiCicco's Soccer Plus camps as Goal Keeper Instructor. Neil lives in Westbrook and is the proud dad of two boys that are 12 and 11 years old.

BRANDON NOLTKAMPER

Brandon is a USSF licensed coach and played four years of soccer at Saint Joseph's College of Maine. In High School Brandon played four years of varsity soccer at Morse High School and helped lead the Shipbuilders to the Class A East playoffs. In his senior year he was named Captain, lead his team in assists and was named to the KVAC All-Conference team. Brandon will be graduating in May with a degree in Physical Education.



On Saturday, April 2nd, the Velocity U14 Girls team placed 2nd in the Capital Area Soccer Club’s Indoor Soccer Tournament.  The event, held at Sukee Arena in Winslow, ME, drew teams from all over the state to play 7v7 matches. 

The Velocity U14s were the only girls team participating in the tournament.  They played four games, facing off against two Capital Area Soccer Club teams, the Knox County Soccer Club team and the Pen Bay Soccer Club team.  The girls secured their second place finish by scoring a winning goal in the final minutes of the Pen Bay SC game.
